The UWC España shall be provided with a Resources Centre where any activities related to the Mediterranean basin may be carried out. This centre comprises two departments: the first one will house all activities connected to Mediterranean culture while the second one will be devoted to sustainable development, especially enviromental sustainability.

 

Planned activities for this centre comprise:

  • Training for teachers - selected in their countries of origin - who shall be trained in peace education, emotional intelligence in the classroom and the use of ICTs,  retourning afterwards to their home countries in order to have a greater impact within their national education systems.

    •  

  • Enterprise and media training in conflict resolution and issues connected to the Mediterranean region.

    •  

  • Specific training in civil responsibility for young people, who can opt to attend specific courses on matters connected to sustainable development and conflict resolution.

    •  

  • Besides, “external deployment” programs shall be launched with projects for educational systems in the countries of the Mediterranean area, especially in the North of Africa and the Middle East.
